It is a legal requirement for employers to ensure that their staff are trained and equipped to undertake their work in a safe manner.
Precedent shows that many employers have been prosecuted or been unable to defend insurance claims because they were unable to demonstrate that the injured member of staff had received adequate training in the risks and safe working procedures associated with their work.
Whether through our e-learning programme or face to face training, MSAFE can assist clients to develop and implement a robust training strategy that improves worker competence, and reduces risks of accidents, prosecution and successful claims against your insurance.
MSAFE run the following health and safety training courses for you and/or your staff:
- Director's Health and Safety Duties - 2-3 hour session aimed at gaining more awareness of the health and safety duties at director level
- Asbestos Awareness - 3 hour face-to-face course understanding the dangers associated with asbestos
- CDM Duties for Designers - half day course providing delegates with a greater understanding of construction regulations
We also run a number of e-Learning courses so you, your staff or contractors can carry out training from the workplace or home. All courses are online and cover a range of topics from fire warden training to food hygiene. The e-Learning courses only provide awareness education. Face to face training would be needed in addition in order to complete the all round skills and knowledge, to be able to carry this forward practically in your organisation.
