Meet the directors

Dan Piff

Daniel was recruited to MSAFE in August 2013 as a Director heading up the Midlands and South West team. Daniel’s responsibilities principally include providing Health and Safety services along with the development of repeat and new business.

Daniel has a wealth of experience advising numerous companies in health, safety, fire and environmental matters. Client organisations included local and national government, security agencies, public and private sector organisations and charities.

Having been in the Health and Safety Consultancy industry for 10 years, Daniel has achieved great success both academically and professionally, most notably he became one of the youngest Health and Safety Consultants in the country to achieve full membership to the Association of Project Safety.

Daniel is a great team player who uses a proactive approach to Health and Safety which seeks to collaboratively work with all project personnel to ensure positive and successful results.

Personal Info: Dan spends much of his free time playing golf or out on his bike!

 

Mark Wilson

Mark has worked within large organisations and on public sector and private projects for over 15 years. Mark established MSAFE in May 2006. He has advised on the role of the Client, Designer & Principal Contractor under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and developed efficient systems to assist in the management of the requirements of the same. Mark has acted as CDM-C on over 600 projects to date. Mark has extensive experience in guiding senior management and boards through the initial set up process for health and safety management systems through to continued development and on-going implementation.

Personal Info: Mark is an avid Liverpool FC fan and frequently attends games at Anfield!

 

Matt Gilray

Matt along with Mark established MSAFE back in 2006.  Matt has worked within large organisations and on public sector and private projects for over 15 years.  Throughout his years of project delivery Matt has acted as the key Client health and safety advisor under CDM as the CDM Coordinator and Planning Supervisor prior to this.  Matt has developed efficient systems to assist in the management of the requirements of the same. 

Matt also regularly acts as a “Competent” person and Health and Safety Advisor to numerous Principal Contractors.  This role includes the development of project specific management safety procedures.

Matt is a very dynamic character that builds relationships with project teams with ease, ensuring that Health and Safety is evaluated and factored into all decisions made on a project.

Matt’s particular area of expertise is Design Risk Management and Strategic Health and Safety Management.

Personal Info:  Matt’s main hobby is Kite-Surfing, and when not doing this he can be found another beachside activity be it volleyball, surfing or fishing

Nathan Pitt

Nathan joined MSAFE in 2007 as a Director.  Nathan also comes from a background of working for small, medium and large consultancies whom focused on delivering projects to both the public and private sector.  Nathan has previously undertaken works in Dubai and Ireland which has enabled him to bring further development and expertise to our service delivery processes.

Nathan is a very diligent and technically minded individual who always embeds himself within the core of a project.  This approach enables him to provide strategic advice to Clients’ that provides benefits to the project execution from inception to completion.

Personal Info:  Nathan likes to spend his free time travelling be it in the van across the UK or on a backpacking trip to South America
